In the meantime, if you haven’t received our mailing shot, you can get a preview of the remaining new print images by clicking on the ‘naughty but nice’ link on the home page.
We will add the new prints to our shopping site when they are in stock and ready to purchase, however we would advise you to reserve a print by contacting us now!

We hope you all had a very happy Christmas!
It was a very busy time for Szikora fine art. We are celebrating our first birthday by moving premises and while also planning the forthcoming print release, SJ still found time to attend an event in the Whitewall Galleries, Newcastle upon Tyne.
Just in time to make her Christmas extra special, lucky prize draw winner, Olga Fiodorow, won a lovely Gingerbread Castle commissioned by Sarah-Jane especially for the exhibition. The fabulous Castle was lovingly hand made by local master bakers Ian and Jan Thomson and decorated in all Sarah-Jane’s trademark confectionery.
The four day promotion of SJ’s artwork on her home turf went very well indeed. There were plenty of gingerbread men in Y-fronts and gorgeous handmade chocolates were supplied by another local business ‘Savarin’s’ - Information about both of these wonderful Newcastle companies can be found by clicking the following links:

We owe you an apology! Two new September print releases should have been made available on this website one week ago. However, due to an inexcusable fluff up on our part, some of you missed your chance to purchase the ‘Smartypants’ limited edition print, and it sold out almost overnight.
We hope you will forgive us, and we PROMISE it will never happen again! - if it’s any consolation ‘Land of Hope and Glory’ - a patriotic gathering of jelly babies - is still available. Please click here for details
We will also be releasing a new piece soon. Keep a look out for our email over the coming weeks.

On Monday night I stood in a London gallery and as I looked at all the people who made the effort to come along to my exhibition preview event, I was once again blown away by the kindness and generosity of you lovely people. A charity auction took place and we raised 3.5k for the Alzheimers society, and hopefully everyone had a nice evening. I certainly did.
It’s been a strange and sometimes very difficult couple of years since my last exhibition and getting back into the gallery (without an injunction!) felt absolutely great. The enthusiasm and dedication from my art collectors continually amazes me and the response I’ve had to this collection has thrilled me to bits, So I want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who came along, especially those who dug deep for charity and I need to apologise if I didn’t get to say hello to everyone in person.
I will now return from this latest adventure to the North East, find a new home and start my next collection. I hope to see you all back again in another couple of years, sooner if I get my socks pulled up.
Thanks all, the gingerbread has wings again. SJ x
ps We are in the gallery 27 on Cork Street, until 2pm on Saturday, so it’s not too late if you want to view the paintings.

This weekend my little team and I attended an evening with the splendid Rolf Harris. We were duly treated to a full version of ‘tie me kangaroo down, sport’ on his wobble board, but the highlight was definitely his rendition of ’the Blaydon races’ sung in a magnificent Geordie accent. top stuff for a little Geordie team.
As if anything could be more exciting than that….I have discovered a new collector in our midst - none other than singing canny lass, Lily Allen. I’m very out of tune with the hit parade these days, but according to my little nieces, this is ‘cool’. So that’s me all chuffed then, but enough of this outrageous name dropping, I’ve got an exhibition to finish….so if you are coming to London next week, I look forward to seeing you in the gallery! SJ

…..if you are looking for older Sarah-jane prints, our normal online gallery will be restored this week.
Also, because of the sudden influx of orders for new prints, we have been delayed uploading all information about the new prints to the site… shortly you will be able to see samples of the different versions of the new boxed button editions and paper mounts etc. Thanks for your patience while we resolve these issues.
Makeover on paper and canvas is now SOLD OUT- please try our links page for copies.
L’enfant and Defendant are SOLD OUT - please try our links page for copies.

Hello everyone…..I hope you like the new sherbet-ey looking site. There are not too many scary changes, but you can now join in on my chit chat bit…let me know your thoughts (I’m not easily offended)
The prints gallery is temporarily closed until Friday Feb 6th when it will re-open to include details of the new print collection. These will be available in galleries very soon and a very limited number will also be available direct from this site, so please act fast for your gingerbread men!
Thanks once more for your patience over the last 2 years of publishing drought and to anyone who has ever given a home to a fat lady, jelly baby or gingerbread…..you are all my very bestest sweeties.

*Happy new year to you all!*
It’s time to face 2009 and all the challenges it will bring…not least this rotten, crunchy credit thing.
This inconvenience will pass and, in the meantime, maybe it’s an ideal opportunity to remember simpler pleasures. So while we tighten our belts a little, forget the organic, handflung, sundried goat bread, why not rediscover the simple joy of beans on toast? I, for one will be making it my business to have more tea parties. And don’t worry about houseprices, it will only give you wrinkles in the wrong places.
For anyone who has been following my story in 2008, you will know I have been embroiled in a bizarre and unpleasant battle with my old gallery….well, it’s not over till the fat lady sings….and I await the big day in the high court, but at least I am now, _finally_, in a position to pick up the brushes again and my most important New Year’s resolution (apart from not getting sued again) is to paint a bit of sunshine for you.
Sometime in January, this old website will receive a nice little facelift and, throughout February, there will be a series of new limited edition pictures arriving.
I hope you will join my *’LAUGHING IN THE FACE OF RECESSION’* gang.
all the best
SJ
ps I will be reviewing the Yoko Ono exhibition featuring at the Gateshead Baltic art gallery shortly - can’t wait can you?.
