News and update.

It’s still raining in Newcastle and Gateshead, proving that it IS grim up North.

Despite the weather, I occasionally put on a snorkel and leave the comfort of my home studio….I have recently been inspired by a local live gallery performance, where I watched some urban art being created (admittedly on a nice indoor canvas) I am now thinking of becoming a ‘guerilla’ street artist myself. Watch out for 30ft aerosol jelly babies…maybe I will start big and try to get one onto the outside of the Royal High courts! - maybe not.

Annoyingly, because of the ongoing dispute with Halcyon Gallery and Washington Green, I have become the proverbial broken record…..and yet again have to report that I am still unable to reveal new plans or artworks yet.

Trying hard to look on the positive side, one good thing to come out of expensive, stressful litigation is that you learn fast to only let this sort of thing happen once. I have had a crash course in the serious nature of contract law, copyright and most importantly, how not to enter into nonsense arrangements with third parties.

However, it has been an ‘interesting’ time, naively plunging head first into legal pitfalls has added a whole new chapter to the story of my life….all grist to the mill of an artist.

Overall, because of the on-going legal action against me, I must write the rest of this year off. But 2009 will soon be here and it will be MINE, MINE, MINE! (though, as it’s you, I will let you share as well) SJ
